And I have been thinking on resolutions. I pretty much never make these things because I tend to forget about them by week's end. However, this year, I did decide to set some goals in an attempt to get my life a little more focused on moving forward rather than hanging out status quo.

1. Physical health - my goal is to build walking back into my daily routine. I'm going to force myself to start out very small and build up so I don't get discouraged.
Jan. 1-15 - 1 - 15 minute daily walk
Jan. 16-31 - 1 - 30 minute daily walk
Feb. 1-14 - 1 - 30 minute & 1 - 15 minute daily walk
Feb. 15-28 - 2 - 30 minute daily walks
Mar. 1-end of year - 2 - 45 minute daily walks (can be split up if schedule requires)
I figure I can add more if I want, but by the end of March (mid-April) at the latest, I want to be walking 1.5 hours a day. Given my crazy schedule, I'll have to split that up more than once, but that is the total I'm aiming for.

2. Mental health - to read a minimum of one non-fiction book every three months. I can do more, but I have to at least do this much. I love my fiction, but I have to remember to look at the real world from time to time.

3. Stress relief - I want to learn meditation, how to take some time and just be.

4. Donating to life - Making sure I keep a good schedule (at least once a month) on giving platelets. I seem to make a lot of them, and can usually do a triple donation. Platelets are especially needed for patients undergoing chemotherapy or organ donation who have weak immune systems. It helps when they can get all of their platelet needs from one donor.

5. Fanfic - to write at least 500 words a day - any fandom, any story, as long as I'm writing. I also want to get my WIPs finished; especially as my bunnies keep giving me new ones.

6. Original Fic - to actually start putting words to the page - any words, really...at all. I've always been shy, possibly downright anxious, about sharing my personal stories because it feels like I'm putting myself out there to be stomped on.

7. Spiritual health - to build in some time of prayer each day. I'd like to eventually blend this with the meditation once I figure that out.

So, those are my goals for 2013...now we'll see how I do.
