The author's students - 9/10 - answered the Middle Ages

The correct answer is the Renaissance.

I would probably have been one of the wrong ones - to me, the Renaissance is Teresa of Avila and Raphael, Thomas More and Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina. I never associated "superstition", "astrology", or "magicians" with it.
